Try to avoid moisture or humidity when reactivating your bag. Don’t put wet clothes into the dryer with the bag, or leave it outside on a humid or rainy day, for example. The humidity could compromise the carbon instead of revitalizing it. Always check the manufacturer’s instructions before trying to reactivate your bag to prevent possible damage.

How long do smell-proof bags last?

Smell-proof bags can last anywhere between a few uses and a few years. For the longest-lasting use, invest in a high-quality odor-proof bag with an activated carbon lining and a heat-sealed or waterproof closure.

The interior should only be spot cleaned if needed, using as little water as possible. The inner lining is closest to the carbon layer, making it easier to wet the carbon accidentally.

Once the bag has been cleaned, make sure to air-dry it thoroughly in a well-ventilated area. Once it’s completely dry, it’s ready to use again.
