Quality & Durability
Ceramic is a very durable material. It’s not unbreakable like titanium, but it can take a lot more abuse than glass. Plus, it provides very even heat, so you don’t have to worry about scorching your product. Once your nail gets heated to the right temperature, it will hold that heat for a long time. That means you don’t have to continuously re-heat your nail to enjoy a long smoke session.
Basically, there’s no downside to using a domeless ceramic nail!

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a ceramic nail?
A dab nail is a device that helps achieve and maintain the heat necessary for the consumption of oils and concentrates during dabbing sessions. Though they’re available in a variety of materials, ceramic is popular due to its ability to retain heat.
How do you heat a nail?
Dabbing is all about the heat, so you’ll want to be sure to take caution when preparing your materials. To heat your ceramic dab nail, you’ll need a butane torch (or another heat source), your chosen concentrate, and only a little bit of time. Keeping in mind that ceramic is highly sensitive to changes in temperature, you’ll want to be careful to avoid overheating — 45-60 seconds should usually be enough to get your nail to the perfect temperature.
How do I clean a ceramic nail?
Once you’ve finished your dab session, it’s time to clean your rig! Remember to allow all the parts time to cool down, so you can avoid any burns or scalding as you’re cleaning. Once everything’s ready, you’ll want to take your dab nail and place it in a mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water.
Some people choose to place the nail in a plastic bag with this mixture and shake it up to get rid of the excess wax and concentrate, but simply soaking it in a small container and rinsing it with warm water should do the trick. Either way, let your nail sit in the alcohol/water mixture for about 30-60 minutes for best results!
