What Is CBD?

CBD — which is short for cannabidiol — can be found pretty much everywhere these days. You’ve probably seen it advertised in lotions, baked goods, or even in drinks. At its core, CBD is a chemical compound that belongs to a group called cannabinoids (the other notable cannabinoid being THC).

These cannabinoids are naturally present in the cannabis plant, which include hemp. Unlike its wild cousin, THC, CBD doesn't include the psychoactive component, which means it won't get you "high."
